Best 1st Birthday Baby Shark Theme Party
Best 1st Birthday Baby Shark Theme Party
This beautiful 1st baby shark birthday party was submitted by Carter 7 Grand Events. This is what she said was her inspiration to create and style this party. “As a party planner/decorator; we are often asked to repeat a popular theme more than once; and BABY SHARK being as popular as it is; we have completed several setups; however, this was our first large setup and our first setup for the theme outdoors.
It was a very HOT TEXAS DAY, but we managed to pull through. Our client was very excited to celebrate Romir's first birthday party and even motivated and gave us so much eagerness to set up such a memorable event. We took a little bit of everything we had previously set up before and added a little twist to it.
Having the event outdoors under a tent; gave us a little more imagination to work with; from the balloons hanging from the center of the tent; to the props being placed in front of the water wave custom table cloth that was made by our business owner Carla Smith. The entire setup was FUN - FUN -FUN. We never draw out a detailed setup map; we just bring what we need and then we allow our creative juices to flow and we create a GRAND-ness.
Carter 7 Grand Events is our business name; which has a very meaningful meaning behind it; which is part of the reason we love setting up children's events. Carter is the name of the owner of our business’s first son; who passed away during birth; it was her only child; but was the 7th child of her deceased husband, who passed away suddenly 2 years after their son passed away from a blood clot.
When hired to do children's events; it is always an exciting and fun time for us and most of our inspiration comes from our sweet and precious angels who watch over us from above.
We would like to invite you all to our business page on Facebook @Carter 7 Grand Events and on Instagram Carter 7 Grand Events
We would like to give a special thanks to She's Making Sweets for the amazing cake, custom candy apples and cupcakes; and also La Casa de Carton for our amazing marquee numbers that we love so much.
Romir's Baby Shark 1st birthday was definitely one of our favorite setups since dealing with this pandemic. Due to the pandemic of course business for us is not what it once was and parties are not how they use to be. Through the hand sanitizer on each table, and no candles being blown out on the main birthday cake, and food being served in to-go containers; we were still able to bring some sunshine with our decorations; even during the pandemic storm. We pray for the safety and well being of everyone and this too shall pass; we hope very soon.
We’ve included lots of pictures for you to enjoy every child’s dream party!

6th Birthday Cactus- Themed Party Ideas!
LEA LOVES CACTI. SHE LOVES THE ROUND ONES. I WANTED TO FOCUS ON A FEMININE CACTUS EVENT THAT MAINTAINED A MODERN FEEL. I LOVE THE PAIRING OF TERRA COTTA WITH ALMOST ANYTHING BUT ESPECIALLY WITH SAGE AND PINK. THE BEAUTIFUL PLATES CAME FROM THE LITTLE ARTIST AND WERE THE INSPIRATION FOR THE WHOLE LOOK OF THE LUNCH. THERE'S NOTHING THAT MAKES ME HAPPIER THEN A PRETTY TABLESCAPE SO I FOCUSED ON DETAILS.
6th Birthday Cactus-Themed Party Ideas!
Submitted By The Amazing Party Victoria Petrovsky @queen_victoriap
It’s been a pretty wild time we’ve all going through these past few months. Emotions are running high and if you’re like me it’s been kind of hard to wrap my head around it all. My niece who is only six understands some of what is going on but not exactly everything, so when we told her she might not be able to have a birthday party this year she was okay with it. Although, that didn’t exactly sit well with me because this little girl has been pulled out of school and had her entire world turned upside down. I felt like I had to find a way to celebrate her.
Lea loves cacti. She especially loves the round ones. I wanted to focus on a feminine cactus event that maintained a modern feel. I don’t know about you, but Cacti themed parties are one of my favorite themes. I am showing you how you can throw your own Fan-Cactus Birthday party!
I love the pairing of Terra-Cotta with almost anything, but especially with sage and pink. These beautiful Himalayan shot glasses were purchased from Himalayan Secrets.
The beautiful plates came from The Little Market and were the inspiration for the whole look of the lunch.
There’s nothing that makes me happier than a pretty tablescape so I made sure to focus on the details.
Since we were outside, we set up the umbrella for some shade. I decided to decorate the umbrella with this cute balloon garland from Nifty Balloons.
Cactus shot glasses, pink Himalayan salt shot glasses, sage drinking glasses, and terra cotta bowls. The floral arrangements from Pavan Floral were absolutely stunning and fit the vision perfectly. I couldn’t have dreamt it up any better.
Sharp balloons provided the amazing balloon cactus that was used as the backdrop for the dessert table. This cute sign made by @Creativeamme on Instagram was also a great touch to one of my favorite tables at the party.
The food ordered from Heirloom was delicious and paired great with the theme.
I also added a charcuterie board filled with greens and some pretty pink flowers to add to the party aesthetic.
The lovely desserts were made by Janice Wong, and let me tell you Janice never disappoints with her desserts. You can find her @janice.w0ng on Instagram.
She made the cutest cactus macaroons in terra-cotta pots
and a delicious rose gold drip cake with the cacti on top. She did such a fantastic job that I didn’t want to mess it up, but I couldn't resist and ended up having two slices.
At the end of the day, my niece was smiling and was so happy. She felt celebrated and that’s all I wanted. I hope this inspires you to have a little backyard cactus themed birthday celebration. We all need a little love and celebration.

Mom, You Need to Party
We, as moms, think of parties as an obligation. Mostly kid-type events we attend that eats away at our weekends. Tit for tat, we must attend theirs, or they won't participate in yours. Some are more fun and meaningful like a friend or family members baby shower (we go for the Mimosa Bar). When you have kids, you become consumed by their events, but when was the last time you took time for you and your Girl Squad?
Friends or Kriend?
What’s a kriend? It is what we call mom’s we meet through our kids. Sometimes we assume the parents in your kids' circle are your friends, because you see familiar faces at all the parties, sporting event, or class functions. But the truth is that is not the universe putting you together to really bond (if it happens excellent), that's the school pulling a name out of a hat.
It's so important to keep touch with those and more importantly connect with friends (if they are family, even better) on an ongoing basis. You deserve it, also seeing each other once a month is fine, you can keep up to date on day to day or week to week updates through social media.
Leave the mom guilt at the door, because you are the only one who can care for your mind, body, and soul and if that isn't a bit balanced and in check, then you can’t be your best for everyone else who are depending on you. Most importantly, it gives you something to look forward to that is just yours.
Self Love Challenge
Let's challenge all the women we know: stay at home moms, work from home, corporate moms (work dinners three times a week with colleagues DO NOT COUNT), and mompreneurs. Let’s take a 3-month challenge, and get your squad together to meet. At the very least, do it once a month, put it on the schedule and treat it as doctor appointment, it’s immovable.
I promise after three months you will realize how much you not only need it, but enjoy it and look forward to it. Here are some fun ideas to get this challenge started for you and your squad.
Watch Party
Watch parties are great to bring your squad together. No matter if it's an Oldie but Goodie Movie Night, Newly released PPV, Real Housewives Season Finale, Oscar Watch Party, or Little Big Lies we can always find something that we love to watch. We get we could be doing more productive things, but we somehow know it is the food for our soul and makes us all warm and fuzzy inside.
This isn't a sit-down dinner kind of dinner party. Depending on the length, have everyone bring an appetizer or take turns. Everyone gets to show off their favorite little culinary specialty, and the person hosting won't have to clean AND cook. Have one person bring a dessert. We love this showstopping 3-D Marilyn Monroe Cake. If you're in the Champaign, Illinois area contact her at carissa.thomas1972@gmail.com to have your fantastic cake at your next Movie Party.
Ladies who Lunch/Brunch
Nothing is better than brunch. Keep in mind brunch is defined as between breakfast and lunch, a two-fer, two birds, one rock. Most associate it with Sunday, but it can really be any day of the week. From an outdoor place setting to dressing up and meeting up at a favorite restaurant, so you leave the cooking to someone else, it's a beautiful treat to know you can sneak away for a couple hours and relax. Let's also get "Linner" trending, combing Lunch and Dinner, you're welcome moms. Check out out favorite Brunch Ideas here.
Tea party
This is a bit posh, but who doesn't love a summer dress, a nice cup of tea and delicious finger sandwiches? Coupled with a beautiful table setting, you can cover any topic, favorite book you are reading or favorite new life-saving app. If you want to kick it up a notch, try an Alice In Wonderland Theme to showcase your sense of humor. Get some inspiration for a great Tea Party here.
Wine Tasting
Rose All Day Party. Get your Wine, cheese, crackers, fruit all equals a sexy charcuterie board. This is a great way to share new wines and pairings. Just make sure we are all responsible, and we have designated rides home. But let your hair down and have a good laugh with friends. Check out our favorite wine tasting parties here.
CBD Party
A CBD Spa Party was Kim Kardashians last baby shower! Introduce your friends to the world of CBD topicals and spa product that are providing new relief and healing to millions. You can now find CBD in creams, shampoos, skincare and there is a ton science to back up its claim on how wonderful these oils and lotions are. Click here for the article cover Kim (yeah, because we are that close) Shower.
Game & Appetizer Party
Nothing will get people out of their comfort zone and everyone smiling like playing games. It sounds cheeky, but we kind of long for it. I'm not talking Twister or Chess, but there are a ton of funny games to play that will crack the entire group up. One of our favorites is Heads Up, an Ellen favorite. Its an app, all you need is your phone, and you will laugh, guaranteed. Click here for other great ideas
Farmers Market/Food Mall Field Trip
Food Malls and Indoor and Outdoor Farmers Markets are some of the best outing experiences with your squad. They are quaint; usually, you can find something fresh and new you want to try, fantastic ambiance, experience getting out and going somewhere. Most places have a place to grab a quick bit or eat along the way. All you have to do it google it and you will be surprised how many options you have. This is also a wonderful fall activity when it is a bit cooler and every mom welcomes backs jeans and riding boots.
Now Go For It!
So now that you have some ideas, the question is, will you do it? Invest in yourself, just do it, no "thank you" required. You will feel immediately better and excited and looking forward to your next adventure.

Girl Power Birthday Party Ideas
Girl power birthday parties are all the rage right now and we’ve rounded up the best ideas and girl power birthday party ideas to knock your little girl’s socks off!
Raising strong and confident girls is a priority for every mom out there! Getting her “Girl Squad” together is a perfect theme for a girl’s birthday party. Here are some awesome girl power birthday party ideas and themes to consider if your little girl wants to transition from from “Let it Go” Frozen birthday party theme and move to a more “Girls run This World” Beyonce theme.
Theme Ideas for Girl Power Birthday Parties
Superhero Party
Not only is this great for both Boys and Girls, but we are surrounded by many STRONG female characters now that represent us from the Marvel Series, X-Men, and Disney Films to choose from like Batgirl, Wonderwoman, Storm or Shuri for example. By the way, I dream of dressing up as Wonderwoman, but those days have passed. Create a fun activity such as no-sew Superhero Cape Decorating by having the kids decorate their capes or personalize them for each guest ahead of time.
What I want to be when I Grow Up Party
What girl doesn’t like to play dressup? This birthday party idea is a great way to show girls their power and that they can do anything they want! It’s a fun idea to not only help your little girl visualize her goals and also get her to think outside of the box and open her up to any possibility. She can be a doctor, firewoman, astronaut, police woman, race car driver, AND a mom (if she wants!). And those costumes are so fun, regardless! It’s a beautiful reminder of how everything is possible for all of our kids.
Positive Vibes-Girl Power
This party is all about having positive images and quotes to inspire girls to be the best version of themselves. Teaching young girls community over competition and that women should support women (versus tear them down) is important for making a lasting change in our society!
For example, quotes like “Girls Empower Girls,“ “She Rock’s,” and “Girls Support Girls.” You can align all of your decorations from backdrops (Think: Girl Squad) to cakes with positive messages (you Go Girl) around supporting other girls. End it with a fabulous dance party with some fantastic songs that are all about confident women!
Movie Night Party
Outdoor or Indoor movie experiences are such a great theme for a girl power birthday party. Not only can you make it a concession style treats and drinks theme but up the any with a film about a badass lady. Whether its “Wonder Woman or “Hidden Figures,” share inspirational movies that reiterate that everything is possible for them!
If you host outdoors or have a pool, throw up a sheet and let them watch on a float in the pool or get a couple of blow ups from Walmart and let them chill in that while they bond over a movie.
Spa Party
We don’t even need to take a poll from moms that said they wish they knew how important it is to take time and pamper themselves along the way. And how we wish we would have learned this (and started these habits!) at an earlier age.
Spa parties are a great idea to teach them some inexpensive DIY hacks that genuinely work: from cucumber slices to homemade facials to getting their nails painted.
Glamping
Glamping is all the rage right now. Great for warmer weather or host indoors. From comfortable DIY teepees to outdoor movies, it is a fun experience s all about creating a cozy setting with little touches that make glamping unique. Instead of boring old smores, use pink or pastel marshmallows, its that simple to elevate camping to all-out-glamping.
Pancakes and Pajamas
All of the above party themes can be sleepover parties, but Pancakes and Pajamas are precisely what it sounds like. Kids arrive later in the evening in their pajamas and after some fun evening festivities (maybe spa evening or movie night), they can stay up late and in the morning Mom or Dad can whip up a fabulous pancake feast for all the guests to attend and eat in their PJ’s. Then parents pick them up, Genius because it’s a cool theme, inexpensive, and easy to execute.
Women’s empowerment and education should start when girls are in their formidable years, so that they learn how to treat themselves and others in life: women are capable and women should support each other instead of be in competition with each other! Girl power birthday party themes are a great place to reinforce these ideas—and they’re fun, to boot!
